He runs 1-gap. Go do some research on him

While he has catered to the lineman at his disposal (i.e. Jay Ratliff). I would say the trading up to get a huge NT speaks toward what he's trying to do. Maybe prefers would have been a better choice of words on my part.

Also, he ran two-gap with shaun rogers in Cleveland, before we got his ghost.

He's actually run both
True, but 1 gap is his primary scheme and he ran it in Cleveland also(Rogers was actually moved to DE to rush the passer believe it or not). In Oakland he was forced to run a 4-3 by management/Sapp.

He'll run some 2-gap stuff, which is why Jenkins was a great addition because we had no 2-gap lineman on our roster at all, but mostly it's 1-gap.

I would have to assume he is going to run a lot of 2-gap since they drafted Jenkins.

You are assuming he is starting. I am assuming Bunkley is. As I told someone else, we'll see what happens when the season starts.

Pretty much. I like the 2-gap since the dt eats a bunch of blocks and lets the linebackers run free.

I know a lot of people do and when they think 3-4 they think big NT, but that's not Ryan. He's versatile in his scheme and runs different things, but his base is a 1-gap man press attacking scheme with a safety in the box. That's what we'll be seeing the most of.

It makes me a little nervous because Greer is not a press corner, but maybe he'll play close and not press necessarily.

Like I said, we'll see what happens when the games start. Lots of moving pieces and it'll be very different from what we saw last year.

That certainly can't be a bad thing.
