when was the best 4 year stretch for LSU sports?
i enrolled in '07.
Freshman year we won the National Championship in football went to every home game and the championship in New Orleans.
in 08 i got to attend the final series at the BOX against UC Irvine, and watched our tigers go to Omaha and lose to UNC.
next year i got to see the tigers win it all in omaha.
LSU womens basketball seemed pretty dominant IIRC the whole time i was there.
thats all i can remember
what do you think would have been the best 4 years in terms of sports to be an LSU student?

Mine was pretty damn entertaining. Saw the fall of Perrilloux, Ole Miss Clock Game, Baseball Natty, JJ/JLEE saga, Game of the Century, and saw LSU lose a football NC. It's been a roller coaster.

I was pretty spoiled...I started in August '03 and graduated in May '08. That period was as good as it gets for LSU football. Basketball had a final 4 in that period. Baseball had a trip to Omaha in 04(2 and BBQ) and a trip in 08.
ETA: Forgot about the Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles years in Women's basketball

Ok...If you enrolled in 1969 would could watch Pistol Pete Maravich at the Cow Palace and Dale Brown and his hustlers the next few years including collis Temple.
The football team was on a four year roll with great teams and players including Bert Jones and Tommy Casanova We beat Bama and Notre Dame's arse
in that period. Jim Smith's baseball team...meh

Honestly any time over the last 10 years has been great but I think this is the closest thing to a right answer. The football program was being built, that SEC championship in 2001. Rohan to Reed. Unforgettable UGA game in 2003. All leading up to the first National championship. Exciting times.

03-07 is the only answer.
2 football national titles
Good basketball teams every year. 2006 final four.
Good baseball teams until the very end.

I was there during the Shaq days in basketball and the Todd Walker, Russ Johnson, Chad Ogea, Paul Byrd days in baseball. We could not have sucked more in football though.

Nothing can compare to the '03 NC season IMO.
