Not long ago I posted a thread asking if anyone was interested in buying an LSU item from me. The thread was deleted and I was given a warning that posting things for sale was strictly prohibited, although there is nothing in the forum rules stating that. Now there is a 6 page thread where all sorts of people are exchanging information to buy/sell/trade LSU stuff. Is selling things on the site prohibited or not?

My link button isnt working. Frowned upon, or prohibited.....those are two different things. There is nothing in the forum rules that expressly prevents a memeber from posting things for sale- and if you will read through the entire thread that I just pasted- there are several memebers trying to sell their stuff.

In the OP of the thread and just reading through it looks like people mostly posting what they have without intent to sell.
Admins always root out selling threads because this isn't craigslist/ebay

Oh, ok....so I just imagined that people exchanged email addresses and expressed interest in buying/selling merchandise. Ok.
ETA: If its against forum rules, I have no issue with that- however, if it is against forum rules, it should be stated in the forum rules page, AND enforced equally. The OP of the thread I linked, wasnt asking to buy or sell anything- but several posters in the thread are attempting to buy and sell stuff.

Im not a big fan of tattle telling on people, I just wanted a clarification of the rule since I was warned that selling items was expressly forbid on the site. I wasnt aiming to get anyone's posts deleted or stir up any kind of shite. I was under impression that, this is where you would go to post questions to mods/admins. I dont feel like its necessary to RA any posts, because my shite was deleted in less than 2 minutes after posting it. So obviously the content in the other thread is ok to whom ever is moderating the board today.
