Ford, Michael RB 5'9"
Hurst, Alex OT 6'6" 340
Lonergan, P.J. C 6'3" 304
Sheppard, Russell WR 6'0
Wing, Brad P 6'2" 205
None of our O-line got picked.

congratulations to all LSU tigers that got drafted. not a negatiger but here are a few observations.
1.only 1 offensive player drafted and he was the
last LSU player drafted.
2. we recruited ford and dexter pratt as rbs 4
years ago. neither got drafted. we passed on
lacy and michaels (both went in 2nd round) and
we passed on nile davis from texas (3rd or 4th
round from arky). all five of these guys
finished hs in same year and we (porter) picked
the only 2 not drafted.
3. six LSU players drafted were from la. there
several other la. players who didn't go to LSU
that got drafted; lacy, fluker, dallas thomas,
q. patton, m. mauti, another la. tech kid and
at least one other la kid. I know LSU can't
get every player and we got the highest rated
ones but we didn't get at least 6 la. guys
that got drafted, thats 50%. not good for the
only major school in the state.

Those guys should have come back, especially Faulk. I guess ford had little to gain and wing liked to smoke pot.

lacy was academically ineligible and we were contenders for michaels in a class wherewe already had 5* michael ford and drayton calhoun

there are always diamonds in the rough that go on to have great careers that would have been buried on the depth chart at LSU. It happens. We had 7 defensive starters (including Edwards drafted The sky is not falling.
On a separate note, which players have yet to sign contracts, and how long do teams continue to sign UDFAs?
