Payton telling Loomis that's the guy he wants...end of story.

I don't know. Does Tennesse have a wR out there that is considered a mid 2nd round by everyone else? If so, he is as good as drafted.
Seriously though, if Tavon is available, I'm cool with it.

But so true.

I wouldn't mind it if we had traded back in the first and grabbed 2 late firsts or a 1st and early 2nd and one of the picks was a WR

Thinking he will make the biggest positive impact for the team of all the available players. unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a Dez type talent in our area

If Tavon Austin is available at 15, thats the only reason.

A bunch of idiots in the FO. There is no WR in this draft worth the #15 pick.

If we had a top 5 pick maybe. That's not even close to equal value.
Best we could hope for is a late first and late second.
As for WR, it all depends on value and who's available. It's definitely a draftable position(LT followed by WR, CB, and S followed by OLB and DE).
It's not just about this year but also about next year(and to a smaller degree the years after). Greer, Jenkins, Smith, Coleman, and Harper could all be gone next year. We only have one sure outside receiver(talking more body type).
Honestly, OLB is not as high as all these "experts" keep saying.

I'm with you 100%.
Unless there is a dramatic change in performance, most, if not all, of these guys are in trouble. Considering the cap restrictions we face again next year, a slight increase in effort isn't going to cut it. There will a CB and Safety drafted this year. There will also be a few interesting guys who most probably won't get drafted at all. A guy like Cooper Taylor would be worth a look see.

04/08/2013 - 2013 Richmond Pro Day: Scouts brave the cold at Richmond Pro Day...The weather was crisp - about 35 degrees - for Richmond's outdoor pro day on March 19. Scouts from 20 NFL teams braved the cold to watch seven players work out. Nobody there that had gone to combine, but there were three players of note: Cooper Taylor S (6-4??", 228 pounds) - Taylor ran 4.58 and 4.49, did 36??" in the vertical, 10-foot-7 in the broad jump, 4.29 in the short-shuttle, 6.96 in the three-cone and 23 reps on the bench press. The coaches worked Taylor out as a linebacker. His official position will be strong safety, but he's one of those guys who could possibly bulk up and play outside linebacker. Reminiscent of Kam Chancellor of the Seattle Seahawks. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

After leading Marist School to the Georgia state championship game, Taylor chose Georgia Tech over Mississippi State, Virginia and Duke, among others. It was a natural choice considering his father, Jim Bob Taylor, played for Georgia Tech and then for the Baltimore Colts in 1983.

Tavon Austin is going to be a stud pro bowler one day buddy. If he's not worth a top 15 pick, why are there 8+ teams that have high interest in him and are willing to move up in the draft? I know the Saints have other holes to fill but Austin is definitely worth a #15

Loomis getting knocked in the head and Goodell making the pick for him. I really hope they don't draft Offense until the 3rd pick or so. The have way too many holes on Defense to ignore.
