The sight lines in the first sections arent bad but the further back you go it gets significantly worse, apparently.
Well if they only fill the bottom bowl it wont be a problem.
But seriously, are they only taking it to take it? Or has there been interest in more tickets than are available at the moment?

hopefully, West Ham let local clubs like Leyton Orient use the ground also.

I think theyre just taking it cause they dont have to pay to build it.

I think they have to keep the track because London won the rights to host a track meet at Olympic Stadium
I don't believe so. Once West Ham take over, I think they can remove the track. Here's an artist rendering that was included in the post-Olympic proposal:
Also, Wikipedia states that West Ham's plans are to reduce capacity to 60,000....still pretty damn massive.
And, just for comparison, here's the rendering of Spurs' rejected proposal that would have kept the 80,000 seat capacity (again, too big):

I'm not sure I see that happening unless they're forced to do so given the fight Leyton put up against West Ham winning the bid.

2017 World Championships in Athletics are being held in the OS
Boleyn Ground holds 35,016. I dont know how theyre going to basically double the attendance.

Interesting thing to note; with so much public money going into the stadium and its redevelopment David Gold and David Sullivan must share any profits they make if they sell the club.
Also we will be paying £2.5 million in rent per year.

Actually, it looks as though they plan on having a retractable seating system for the lower bowl which will hide th track during matches: LINK | ANOTHER LINK
99-year lease. The 2nd link notes 54,000 as the capacity for football.

What's wrong with Upton Park?

Nothing. Olympic Stadium is a $600 million dollar stadium they dont have to build or pay for construction.

With the retractable seats the fans will be CLOSER to the field than at BG. Its not perfect but overall I think the move could work. There are some meetings being set up with fans to make sure they are ok with the move.
