I wouldn't read too much into these in state guys like hootie and cam going to A day. All of them basically say they've seen LSU a lot and are just looking around at other places.

Actually, if I read anything into it I would say they (Hootie and Cameron) were impressed as expected but I did not see any fire burning under their arse about it which at this point I would take as a good sign.

Kinda like Tim Williams last year or pretty much every defector has ever said. That thinking is wishful at best, kids taking multiple trips to other schools is at minimum a yellow flag. Hence, why recruiting sites will push even committed verbals to Soft.

Also kinda like. Kendall Beckwith, DeSean Smith, Melvin Jones, Frank Herron, Tashawn Bower, Jeryl Brazil, Greg Gilmore etc...

Point is that every year plenty of guys go on visits and enjoy other schools, most choose LSU in the end. Look at Brumfield, he loved his other visits and still ended up committing for the Tigers.

Most recruits have fun at just about every school.

It goes both ways. We can't get them all, but we do get most of them.

Because he didn't decide until the last minute...some of these guys already know where they are going...

I thought Williams made it quite clear that going away from home was a big plus for him. I haven't gotten that from any 2014 Louisiana recruits, if anything it seems like a plus to be closer to home. I still think at least one goes elsewhere though.

Whats so crazy was there are rumors that A-day was a disaster. Like no flow, and just not organized..Oh well, Bama sells itself..

not a pro like you guys, but listening to you guys, i kind of half expect to lose them both. after seeing both of them speak, i feel alot better about cam, and still think we have a decent shot at hootie.

No insider or expert either but if you can believe message board talk then regardless.of.how.good.the visit went some are saying they have others higher on the board at safety but who knows. Point being if that is true an athlete of this type is likely not going to like being number two on anyone's board and that will likely bode well.for.LSU in my opinion anyway.

Im in your boat. For a few months now I have felt like both Cam and Hootie will/want to play elsewhere in the end. Even way before this interview I have always believed that from various interviews and mannerisms and visits etc.

With that being said I think the only other top 12 Louisiana composite player we lose is cam sims and I consider that one addition by subtraction.

I think Cam goes, Hootie stays.
