McNamara at 247 explores Eric Bledsoe's trade value and lists potential trades that Clippers writers said they would at least strongly consider. LINK /

There's a lot of analysis at the link but here are the proposed trades.

2 Team Trades:

- Lopez, Vasquez, and lottery protected future 1st for Bledsoe, Grant Hill, and Willie Green

- Lopez and 2013 1st rounder for Eric Bledsoe and Grant Hill

- Eric Bledsoe, 2013 1st rounder, and DeAndre Jordan for Ryan Anderson and Lance Thomas

Multi Team Trades:

- Greivis Vasquez, Darius Miller, and 2014 top-10 protected 1st to Magic, Aaron Afflalo to Clippers, Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler to Pelicans

- Robin Lopez and Wilson Chandler to the Clippers, Caron Butler and Eric Bledsoe to the Pelicans, Nuggets get Pelicans lottery protected 1st and Clippers 2013 1st rounder

- Eric Gordon to Phoenix, Jared Dudley and Marcin Gortat to Clippers, Caron Butler, Eric Bledsoe, and picks to Pelicans

I think Bledsoe is overrated by many, but some of those multi team trades aren't bad.

Bledsoe's horribly overrated for many of the trades I've seen floated.

I'm also not particularly enthused about getting Caron Butler, who is a below-average 3 according to most ratings I've seen.

The first 2-team trade isn't horrible IF we get a starting center like Pekovic first.

The second and third 2-team trades are godawful, in part because DeAndre Jordan is useless at the end of games and I don't think Bledsoe is worth a top 6 pick, let alone a top 6 pick and a cheap quality big like Lopez.

Of the multi-team trades, I could live with the Gordon trade involving Phoenix or the Vasquez / Miller / protected 1st trade to Orlando.

I don't like that Nuggets trade, in part because I would rather have Wilson Chandler than Caron Butler.

I'll second that.

I think that a Vasquez and Roberts' limitations could be covered up by having a competent 3 out there instead of Aminu.

I have fallen off the Eric Bledsoe bandwagon...fantastic athlete, electric, would love to have him on the roster but wouldn't give up too much for him

I think he is very much overvalued...but if you add in Caron Butler I like it more - good contract, decent vet, SF that can shoot

maybe add a C in free agency and your not looking too bad, draft Burke or Bazz

Bledsoe/Burke
Gordon/Rivers
Bulter/Aminu
Davis/Anderson
Lopez/Smith/FA

that way that 2014 pick we trade isnt too high

.....I still really want Trey Burke ha

Who are you shipping out for Bledsoe and Butler in that deal?

Vasquez and who else? Roberts?

I think the 247 boys play soggy biscuit when thinking about him.

Wtf Grant hill wouldn't play for us. He's 40 and chasing rings.. lopez also doesn't fit into the lob city style of play. I don't see a team like nuggets giving away their firepower to get 1st round picks with their againg roster. Who pays this guy?

If you guys watch the Clips in the playoffs, focus on Bledsoe while he's in the game. There's more to it than just percentages and assists and whatnot. I mean, GV was an assist monster and he's not considered a good PG.

This team needs a Caron Butler type as well IMO

Yeah, considering the state of the Pelican's SF spot Butler is actually pretty useful for a salary dump/match. I just don't want to give up too many assets for Bledsoe so the Nuggets trade where the Pelicans give up Lopez and what probably becomes a 2015 pick in the late teens works for me.

I agree

I wouldn't do most, if any, of those deals.

I'm not so hot on Bledsoe. I'd rather a proven starter and just pay the price in cap space rather than trade to get them then either have to pay anyway or let them walk and be out the assets.

Just paying Jennings or sending Vasquez over to work it as a trade is superior, to me. Whether that is worth doing is.yet another question.

I was wondering what it would take to get Bledsoe and alot of these aren't too bad.

quote:

- Eric Bledsoe, 2013 1st rounder, and DeAndre Jordan for Ryan Anderson and Lance Thomas

This would be an awesome deal. I know lots of people love Anderson, but this makes total sense. After the draft picks (Porter and Franklin?), trading away Gordon (?) and a FA pick-up, the team would be loaded.

Bledsoe/Vasquez/Roberts
Gordon (trade haul?)/Franklin/Rivers
Porter/FA pick-up/Miller
Davis/Smith
Jordan/Lopez

Those are the best ones in order, imo. The bottom two would be tough.

Some people say overrated....I think he's a guy ready to be a full-tme starter and very possibly break out.

Great D and athleticism and is good at everything...He has played very well when given the opportunity as starter.

Overpaying for him would be a better risk for the Pelicans than some of the other moves suggested, imo.

I agree. Solid player. He can knock down shots, and is a good veteran. He would automatically be the best SF on our roster. He's better than what he puts up on the Clippers. They have ridiculous depth.

Salaries have to work. That's why we'd have to take Butler in the trade.

I think a lot the Lopez deals make sense especially if we are in fact looking to add one of the free agent centers.
