Guess Southaven is a no-go. I'll be looking for places to eat in Memphis. Anybody have any recommendations?

TIA

There is a good BBQ place in Southaven right at 55. Don't remember the name.

The BBQ joint in Southaven is supposed to be the best in the area, including the greater Memphis area.

Restaurant Iris (NOLA native), Anthony and Michael's Italian Kitchen, and Hog and Hominy.

Found BBQ in Memphis to be underwhelming.

I'm guessing Rendezvous is just a tourist attraction?

Rendevous is good I prefer Corkys

Hueys is a good burger place

If you want a good bar TJ Mulligans is great. Boneless wings!! ANd the last time I was there they had Bang Bang Chicken which was even better than the Bang Bang shrimp at Bonefish

I have more suggestions - what type of food are you looking for?

just anything casual, really. And something that is relatively quick. Not looking for fine dining or anything.

Man, we have seriously different tastes! I hate everything about Rendezvous - the food (dry, bland, not freshly cooked), the service (truly terrible), the lack of quality (paper plates, plastic utensils, etc.), the price, everything. And Huey's is nothing more than an average burger joint IMO. Not bad, but certainly nothing special.
