Could a legit baseball site (for recruiting) team up with 247 down the road?

Doubtful. The best players do not play college baseball. You would be providing more a service to MLB organizations than colleges, in my opinion. Also, college baseball's popularity isn't growing. LSU struggles to get Cox air time. The market for such a service would be limited to 6 to 7 states at most.

College baseball will NEVER be popular nationally. Heck, baseball's popularity across the nation has declined.

LSU baseball is unique. Its akin to UCONN or Tennessee women's basketball. Nobody cares outside of the state unless an alum watching. Regular season games never make prime-time. Post-season games are lucky to make ESPN2. The only time you will see a college baseball highlight or a women's college basketball highlight if it's an extraordinary play.

Then why is getting more and more broadcasted every year if it's not becoming more popular? Do they just air more games regionally and nationally because it's not becoming nationally more relevant?

Arguably one of the biggest reasons why college baseball isn't as popular as it could be is shear lack of coverage compared to the 2 big sports in college. Which is starting to get taken care of with huge deals like the SEC has with ESPN. Im not saying it will ever be on football/basketball level...but it could easily become and should become 3rd and distant from whatever will be 4th place (women's basketball, maybe hockey but that is truly regional).

Yes, obviously college baseball will never be as popular up north as it is in the south...but so what, college basketball up north and at the ACC schools is taken wwaaaaayyyyyyyy more seriously than basketball down south in the SEC or Big XII. Difference in basketball compared to baseball is the coverage is pretty fantastic. Once again, not saying baseball would ever get on the level of basketball, but it certainly will continue to get more popular as it has rapidly grown in popularity the last decade or two.

Scroll back 20 years and see how many games were ever televised in baseball, hell, go back 10 years. This year over 70 SEC games will have been on tv. How many 10 years ago were on tv? Maybe not even half that number? 20 years ago? LOL...

Also, that's not just regional broadcasts, 27 of those games are nationally televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.

In another 10 years we'll probably be laughing at right now when "only 70 some SEC games were televised" when all 210 regular season conference games and 17 SEC tournament games all make regional or national tv.

I see you argument, but you are discounting the fact that television access has grown substantially over teh last ten years as well as expanded television networks to help cover baseball.
