I still think Barrow ends up at MLB and Alexander starts at his spot at OLB.

You just cant possibly keep him off the field in favor of Welter at MLB.

welter seems destined to be this year "why in the hell is he still starting?" player. Miles seems to always have one or two

What does Chief see in Welter?

Is he just trying to keep our young LBs hungry?

I trust Chavis...but I'm sure he'll see it your way...no way he can deny your experience with developing backers and also how much of this teams practices you've seen.

I was expecting to see an improved game from him last Saturday. Didn't happen. The most remarkable thing he did was get up twice after getting absolutely demolished by Copeland and a back up offensive linemen.

People like going to the well on this. Usually it is a good rote point that you can post in any thread. The tatuology has been upset when others can point to Stefan Francois and Karnell Hatcher as guys who played over players who were better suited. So while Chavis is great, he has a track record of headscratching decisions. He isn't perfect, but he is damn good.

Just because Welter has been the starting MLB during spring does not mean he will be there come fall.

They have him on 1st team because he has seniority over the younger guys and they are giving him the chance to show them he can be the starter. And it doesn't sound like he has done enough. They know we have the young talent at LB to move Barrow to M and put Kwon at strong. But they gave Welter the opportunity to show them he can be the guy. Doesn't sound like he did that.

And it's not like Welter is horrible. He's ok. The coaches know that so they gave him the opportunity to try and hold the spot down. But, I think it has more to do with how good Kwon is. He and Barrow are our top 2 LBs on the team and Kwon is just too good to keep off the field just to keep Welter at MLB.

Come fall, Barrow will be at MLB, Kwon at strong, and one of the Jones at weak side. Never been impressed with T Jones and I think by the 5th game we will see more Debo than T Jones.
