Because somebody has to be that guy

If you think im usually serious, then you've been had.

I am serious here though, we have looked pretty bad the last 2 weekends. Ill chalk it up to complacency, but that needs to stop asap or we are in for a long 2 weekends at the box. USCe and Florida are playing much better atm.

I'll also chalk it up to being in the meat of our schedule. Things HAD to cool off a little when we started playing better teams. Still I'm concerned about our clutch hitting. We had two huge opportunities to put games away Sat & Sun and didn't do it either time (although we did eventually take the Sat game).

There was bound to be a stretch during the season where we just didn't play as well. It happens. Despite that we went on the road and won series from two teams that will probably be in regionals.

Judging from Mainieri's postgame comments yesterday, I have a feeling he will get their attention at practice tomorrow.

Baseball man, it happens. We are still winning series on the road. We are 37-4 and 12 of our last 15 games are at home. I would say things are looking GREAT to be a top 8 seed and get to play every game at home to get to Omaha. These kids will come to play when it counts the most. Starts this weekend with a big series against USCe.

No problem. I agree the sky isn't falling. People are so used to winning, they expect it, then panic when we have a loss.

It's baseball. Learn the rules.

You talkn to me uncle rabbit? If you are not concerned about how we look right now you are not being realistic.

Having some concern is fine, but to think this team has hit a wall and will just suck from now on is unrealistic. Its baseball.

I know you don't panic when we have one loss, harry. Some folks around here do.

I'm just saying it's not gloom & doom time. Katz & Rhymes had a bad weekend. They'll flush it and start hitting again. JaCoby...well...get well soon.

My main concern is eades is having a repeat of last year. If that is the case we are in big trouble.

I agree with that concern. He looks like last year in the past 2 starts for sure. I am not sure what it is with him. I dont know if its mental or if his stuff just flattens out and straightens up as the season goes on. He looks real hittable and doesnt seem to have great location. This is cause for concern.

LSU was in a way, lucky to win this series they should have easily won....

Yes, i know it was still almost a sweep.

The defensive play was just terrible for the 2nd two games. Jones needed to be yanked and he finally was. He was a big defensive liability this weekend. maybe you chalk it up to he wasnt fully recovered from being sick?

Katz has cooled off a lot.

Most concerning is the 2nd terrible performance in a row by eades. He is more and more looking like 2012 eades...

It absolutely does and I'm far from pushing the panic button.
