I've bee a fan of Peter Murphy as a solo artist for many years but have yet to back-listen Bauhaus.

What are some of the Bauhaus songs I should be focusing on?

ETA:

Concert is this Wednesday... Need to get familiar fast.

I'm sure you've heard Bela Lugosi is Dead at some point.

IMO just start by listening to their live album 'Press the Eject and Give Me the Tape'.

I have. Just realized that when separating solo from his Bauhaus stuff... That was about the only one that crossed over.

I'll be at that show. The album In the Flat Field is total greatness. I'm the opposite of you. I don't care for any of his solo stuff.

Definitely listen to the Singles 1981-1983 EP.

Imagine you'll hear most of those.

I'm the opposite of you. I prefer his solo work.

Great show. I was concerned that A, the backing band would suck. They were great...the drummer was especially worthy. And B, that all that meth Peter does would crap out his voice. The dude still has the pipes. My only complaint is they only played for an hour. But given that the ol man was jumping and dancing the whole set, I'll give him a pass.

He looks like he's lost some weight from some other pics I've seen of him lately.

He is by far the greatest lyricist IMO.

So what was the deal? He didnt' want to recruit the others to join the tour or he just felt like doing it without them? Money? Timing?

I thought in Houston Book of Love was opening but apparently they're playing separately Sat. at the same club.

Nah, I'm not going to waste a yard pass on Book of Love especially when Black Crowes are playing this Sunday at HOB.

Whoa, that club is still open? Went to it once back in the day circa 1990. Had a blast.

Yeah. It's still around but not quite the place it was in the 80's though. But it still draws the same type crowd and music. It's been a long time since I've been there. Probably 20 years.

I'm not sure. During the show, he had some good things to say about Daniel and the Boys. But later he called all the old Bauhaus guys frick Ups.

I got some great LOOKING video that sounds like distorted garbage (my camera has a terrible mic).

I was about 5 or 6 rows back on the left side (stage right).
