I'm dumping NCAA for Madden, but need some input.

I was about to pick up Madden 13 but I saw there was no more Franchise mode? Or it's a quasi mode? What's with this?
I won't be playing ranked games online or the connected careers. Rather I primarily want to just build a team and play a career.
I play FIFA a lot and I like playing Ultimate Team. How is MUT?
Given what I'm looking for should I pick this game up or leave it on the shelf. TIA

I tried, but I just can't. After being so used to recruiting and roster limits, all of the money and contract aspects of Maddens "Franchise Mode" was driving me nuts. I just wanted to play through a season instead if worrying about all that stuff. Just ain't my style. I pretty much paid 60$ just to play random games against users online

they did this shite last year which is why i didnt buy it. when is EA gonna realize not everyone wants to play online and when you do play online you always get some jack arse with dial up internet who gets booted or idiots who suck but wanna talk shite the whole frakkin game. online for madden generally sucks.

It's career mode in Madden 13.
I believe if you choose career mode offline, it's the equivalent of franchise mode.

It's called connected careers, you can do it online or offline. If you do get it you should join my online franchise. Plan on rolling until NCAA 14 drops.

Get Madden 08 for the PC. The guys at Football Idiot do a roster update mod every year. (Most of them were at Football Freaks when that site was still up).
