Historic figures/events you'd like to see a movie made for.

Vlad Dracula. This guy is worse than any vampire, even those sparkly vampire figs.

William Tecumseh Sherman. I see this one as a 3 part History Channel miniseries.

This is fascinating material that's very relevant. No matter how it gets presented, one large faction of people, or two others, is going to say, "They got it wrong."

If done a certain way, I've always thought that a movie about John Jacob Astor could be terrific. Astor was one of the first mega rich in America and found significant profit in the opium trade. I believe that so long as you don't get a super-lib director who makes the film out to be some statement piece on the evils of capitalism, it could make for a hell of an interesting story.

This.

Shocked no one has ever tried to film Masters of Rome. Would be a killer HBO series.

They made this one already. It was a made-for-TV movie but it honestly was pretty decent.
