Miles are the rest of the staff could care less what Blue said. It's how he feels about gays playing football. Bottom line is nobody wants a team mate that's a ballerina pretending to be a football player. Miles himself said he would have to address this matter with his team first, before allowing cinderella to come and play with the big boys! It's LSU TIGERS!! not kittens...

Ok, I agree Blue's comments were probably not the greatest choice of words but why does anyone who disagrees with homosexuality get called ignorant, classless, narrow minded, etc?

I tolerate gays but I'm very much personally against the practice of homosexuality. My beliefs are my beliefs...I know plenty of gays (in fact have good friends who are gay and very aware of how I feel about their choices), I have sat down with several and listened with an open mind to aspects of their lifestyle. I guess I'm still narrowed minded for making the choice to think homosexuality goes against what I believe in.

Just because you do not agree with gays doesn't make you a homophobe. I'm not afraid of gays, just don't agree with them. I look at this the same as any other controversial issue...like smoking for example. I am not a fan of cigarettes...and because I'm not a fan, I don't go to smokers' bars, I don't sit outside at work in the smokers corner, and if someone lights up in front of me, I will politely walk away. Am I still narrowed minded for being against something that so many people live their lives doing and don't see anything wrong with it?

Get off y'all soap box for a minute...if someone doesn't agree with you, it doesn't make them ignorant.

You have been reading the stuff just on this board, right? There's a lot of fear here. And anger. And vitriol.

You do know the statistics about LGBTQ youth who can't politely walk away from being harassed, beaten, abused, kicked out of their homes, and stigmatized?

If I said, hey, I don't want to be on a team with a guy who's greedy and focused on making money, people would laugh. But there's more that Jesus said about the love of money than there is that he said about homosexuality. Do you sit down with your friends and explain to them about how their life choices (pursuing wealth) is not something you agree with?

People choose to smoke and that second-hand smoke causes health problems to those around them. Two totally different things. Give me a legit reason why you are "against" homosexual lifestyle. How does it harm you? The bible is for your personal benefit on how to live, not your basis of judging others.

Don't give a shite. Ask a man for his opinion, don't ridicule his answer.

It’s those notions as well as the casual jokes and comments many make about homosexuality that have really hampered the progress of players coming out. Jamie Kuntz, who was dismissed from the North Dakota State College of Science last September following an incident that included teammates seeing him kiss his boyfriend, said he never felt comfortable coming out at school.

If I recall...Jamie Kuntz wasn't kissing his boyfriend...he was going down on the old man in public view. Get the story straight

It doesn't harm me in any way, shape, or form...what's your point? When I say against, I don't mean picket sign holding, name calling, ridiculing, bashing, or targeting. I simply mean I don't agree with it. I don't agree with communism either, although I have never lived in a communist controlled society.

And the analogy with smoking is 100% relevant. They are both legal choices that some people choose to partake in and others choose not to. If you like a person's personality but don't like cigarettes, then you don't go around them while they're smoking. If you like a person because they are knowledgable in sports but also happens to be gay, then go to game and part ways when he goes to a gay bar.

Once again, YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE WITH EVERYONE. And if you don't agree with me, you are entitled to your opinion. You don't have to spoon feed it to me.

I actually agree with everything you said. I think we are just arguing semantics here. I dont think you are "against" homosexuality just because you dont wanna go to a gay bar. Its just not your thing.

And thats totally fine. No problem at all. Comments like what Blue said, however, do affect people in a very negative way. When a young kid grows up hearing that everyday from his friends, family, and athletes he looks up to, that affects how he feels about himself (if he's gay) and how he treats others.

I agree with you 100 percent sportsfan. Im so tired of this in your face gay shite. If your gay, fine, go be gay. But quit trying to force people to not only accept your lifestyle, but now evidently you have to like that their gay or else your called homophobic

Lol forgive me if I don't have sympathy for you. I love when straight, white men (the largest majority group in the country) complain about this yet the minority gay group should just shut up, accept less rights and accept being treated as less human or less manly.

No, I am against it in the sense I believe God created women to be the companion of man. However, I am educated enough to not judge someone solely on sexual preferences. Like I said, I have many friends whom I share a lot of common interests with...and they happen to be gay. That's a topic we stay away from because we are adult enough to know each other's alternate beliefs.

I appreciate your sentiment toward the gay community and I even applaud your strength to stand up for your beliefs. And just like the topic at hand, I do not judge you for that belief because I am sure there is more to your personality than just that.

LOL. When did i say anything about them accepting less rights, or being treated as less of a human being? My girlfriend has 2 gay friends and when i hangout with them thats all they talk about is people need to accept this or need to accept that about them being gay or else if you dont, your an a-hole and homophobic. THATS ALL THEY TALK ABOUT 24/7.

Not liking someone because they're gay is what homophobic means, and you have very little idea how to use homonyms.

Eta...no pun intended
