Rebrand updates

I hate to say it but this kind of reeks. It sounds like they had no freaking idea about anything other than the name of the team and the logo/color scheme.

They probably didn't. The normal rebrand process is done in 2-3 years for a reason.

Damn. I really expected uniforms by draft time. It seems weird that they wouldn't have that for Draft Picks or Free Agents to hold up and all that.

Definitely can't wait to see the court design, but I keep thinking we are going to go with some kind of two tone thing like the Cavs court. Would love to see a darker wood, really hardwood-old school look.

AGREE! I bought my Pelican shirt, hat and coffee mug months ago when they first came out. After my initial shock with the name, I've been loving the "Pelicans" mainly because I thought the org. really did their homework and had every detail researched, build and tuned to perfections.
Now it sounds like they settled for a re-brand that was far from their first choice (for whatever reason).

Yeah that's exactly why you bought the gear and that's exactly what they're doing. They dont know what they're doing just decided to name it that with no other thoughts on the matter. Come on man.

But I will always stand behind my name of Pel's Belles.
It rhymes, conjures up images of our Southern roots and relates to a song that has absolutely nothing to do with an NBA dance team in a small market city.

Not so concerned with what they call the dancers. Just don't want them in those 1960's style modest costumes, wearing support hose doing flag team routines like the poor Saintsations. Pathetic. Keep the fly girl in the Pelican chicks.
