Parents are not supposed to bury their children.

Sad. Very sad.

My thoughts and prayers are with Alan and his family.

Yeah, every family wants privacy when a relative dies. That's why we always put it in the freaking newspaper.

Very said. I'm good friends with a guy who dated her for a while. Very sad and sudden death.

The newspaper notice is for friends and people who knew the deceased, not for every swinging d**k that posts on a message board (that last part would be you). Why don't you just head on over to a funeral home, and start asking the people there personal questions about their beloved deceased? After all, they posted a memorial notice, too.

No one is guaranteed another day on this planet. There is eternal life in Heaven and I ask God to bless this young woman and grant peace to her family.

Don't seek after tomorrow. Love and live in the moment.

That's a real bummer. I hate to see anyone go through losing a kid. Prayers to the family.

Very sad. My mother actually sold Mr. and Mrs. Risher their daughter's baby crib . I remember this vividly because I was 10 years old at the time and had a serious case of LSU hero worship. I begged my mother to allow me to go with her to the Risher residence in order to deliver and assemble the crib. Prayers ...

Just lost my sister. I know what they must be going through. Nothing makes sense. Let the memories live and know that wherever they are, they are at peace.

This is their 2nd tragedy in the last few years. Robin's brother, Robert Callahan , died a few year's back after having routine knee surgery . Alan and Robin are as good as they come. This is very sad indeed.

Good point. I suppose by your reasoning that no one else should dare to read an obituary.

I can remember when obituaries told the cause of death too. Of course times have changed.
