No shot. You're not getting any significant player for ivory or any rb outside of a handful of them.

No shot? I didnt say you could trade him for Gronk or something. but you could absolutely get a great backup lineman (which is a likely 4th target anyway) or a guy like DRC or Parish Cox.

All i am saying is at the 4th round level its a 50/50 in my opinion for trying to get a known entity later. even if its an aging player.

Someone explain the tender thing to me please. Does that mean we can't ask for anything ABOVE a 2nd round pick?

That means they can sign him to a contract, if he signs we have the right o match, if we don't match we get their 2.

So that's only for free agency then? Doesn't apply in a trade?

Doesn't apply in a trade and it's only for restricted FAs

I'd love a 3rd rounder.
Realistically, I'd be happy w a four.

I could deal with that. He won't be getting a ton of carries anyway probably.

4th is pretty fair, i hope they wouldn't go lower, expecting higher is wishful dreaming. Sad to see him go though.

I know injuries are always a risk, but I'd be satisfied with a backfield of PT, Ingram, and Sproles.

Cadet who?

I don't think so. You're definitely not getting one of those corners for him. Besides player for player trades are extremely rare.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts exchanged role players today in what is a rarity-a player for player trade instead of draft picks. Ian Rapoport of nfl.com reports that the Eagles acquired defensive end Clifton Geathers from the Colts for fullback Stanley Havili.

the only player for player trade I could find from the last few years

The Jets now have eight draft choices, but they will try use a No. 5 to get Chris Ivory.
4:37pm - 21 Apr 13....John Clayton tweeted this.

Now I know many, like myself, would still not be satisfied with a 5th but what if we received a 5th and swapped 15 to 13?
