Just found out this kid committed to Mississippi State.

Have any of you guys seen him play? I know he plays for one of the top HS teams in Louisiana and the nation and has hit 10 HRs this season. Is he a draft risk? Is LSU loaded up at catcher?

It seems to me my bulldogs may have gotten a steal out of south Louisiana.

Just looking for some serious info on the kid. I was under the assumption maybe a couple of you would be able to provide me that.

The article I read said he had hit 10 HRs for STM this season. Thats pretty good for a HS Jr IMO.

you cannot figure out baseball recruiting!
the best catcher in louisiana last year was an ole miss commit - trahan - signed pro
then the best juco guy was from lsue & they got him also & he is hitting over 400
BUT - you do not know! we have ross & maybe he did not want to wait or we maybe did not offer, because we have two freshman - one who would be a high school senior , but came @ mid term
also LSU trys to get louisiana guys with only the TOPS . And we might have offered , but state offered more? or he did not like the competition!!

My brother goes to school with him. He's a stud and still 15 years old I believe. Had plenty of offers from SEC teams but Miss state gave him 77% and he took it. Vallot is a smart kid, with the catchers that LSU has bringing in, he would have to wait 2 years to play most likely. Miss State apparently told him he could start from Day 1.
