also noticed that lsu's own roster calls jalen mills "jalen collins" in the hurt players section

That was definitely a typo, as Jalen Mills is the guy that will sit out the spring game due to injury.

Just a wild thought, but could the allocating of QBs be based on something other that position on the depth chart?

Hypothetically, what if this years the coaches (and a new one at that) have an idea of what Rivers can do but really want to see how he would fit in as the starter should zm go down. Whereas with Jennings who has 15 days or so of practice reps/scrimmage time it's more important to see him get more time period?

Or maybe they just pulled names out of a hat?

In case someone is still wondering why our secondary is labeled as 'inexperienced' next year, the list above explains everything.

this is a common sense post; one that actually gives the coaches credit for having some intelligence instead of the preponderance of other posts trying to nail down who's #2. mett is #1. that's all that matters right now and he's unlikely to lose his job this year (altho it is possible). the depth chart is most definately "in flux" with many positions and who's on what team doesn't matter much at all.

Richard Murphy was a spring game All-American two years in a row....and look where it got him.

You mean the spot he received on the Jags roster?

Yeah, it is. But no JMills/RMartin makes it look much worse than it is. We'll also have some pretty talented FR CBs coming in.

Whatever dude. Rivers will play before Jennings this season. No doubt about it.

I think:

1) they want Rivers to get to work with the starting WRs, like Mett

2) they want to see Jennings play as much as possible. Perhaps they know what they have in Rivers, but want to see if Jennings can be ready to compete for #2 come summer and fall

3) if we played a game today and Mett tears an ACL, Rivers goes in the game
