Aw frick no. I played this guy in high school and he is ok, but he isn't SEC caliber. Brcc is like some of the better high school teams in state. Those guys never pan out too well

I don't know this kid but if he is good enough somebody has already talked to him. It may not be LSU but he will end up somewhere at a 4 year school if he is legit. No shame in pitching for Southeastern, Nicholls, or any other in state school.

Major League scouts will find you no matter where you are.

LSU-Eunice and Delgado have been the only proven in-state pipelines to LSU.

BRCC's not on that level yet.

Keep the discussion going I would guess. The thing with Greer is that if he is good we will probably see him somewhere. If he,s not good enough for lsu, then Tulane might get a steal. If he's too dumb to get in, then ole miss gets another scholar.

This post makes the whole thread worthy.

My son played against this kid growing up.. Not SEC ready in high school. Talked to his father the other day just to catch up with him and he said Austin was going to tech. Had interest from rice amongst other schools but didn't have the ACT to get in. Both his parents and other family went to tech, so I could see why he would take they're offer.

I wish him the best. I root for all LA kids. Obviously I would like to see BRCC have success similar to Delgado and Eunice. It would be nice to see a BRCC kid sign with LSU from time to time. I know the program has a ways to go to catch up with the previous 2 programs I mentioned. I still like to see them do well since I know some of their players.
