Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart will return for his sophomore season, sources tell Y! Sports. He could've been a top 5 pick in NBA Draft.

Smart's a different kid. Values winning/college experience

Top 3 pick going back to school. Pretty bold move with the 2014 draft being stacked but good for the college game .

whoa. good for him

Maybe more will follow suit

Doubtful though

Also, Trey Burke needs to send Smart a gift basket. His value just skyrocketed

So stupid considering the players in next years class and his current status unless T Boone is paying him HUGE bucks to stay.

I never say this about kids going back to school...but that's probably a terrible decision.

Rookie Wage Scale

There's not much difference from pick #2 to about pick #6. He has another good year next year, betters his game (which he has some holes), he will be right there again. And everyone knows these players are focusing on that second contract.

Plus, would you want to play for Orlando or Phoenix? Hell no. Hope you get taken by a better team next year where you can showcase your abilities more

Wish Ben mclemores family wasn't dirt poor. Lets see how many people pick ok state over Kansas this year. Or have they learned yet? Will be interesting.

Seems like a bad decision just based on how he can't improve his stock at all really.

His stock can't really be improved. He's a top3 pick.

Next years draft is STACKED. He's risking too much.

Marcus' parents aren't the most financially stable either

Rockchlk, you always seem upset when you post about your Jayhawks, or maybe that's because I always see you in the "hat on the table" scenarios

Nah I'm a homer. Only negative in the recruiting ones and that's just to be funny bc obviously we kick arse at recruiting as well.

Frankamp can shoot the lights out. Saw him in that high school shootout on CBS and it was like he wasn't even trying. And Selden is easily one of my favorite players in this class

He's a good kid and wants to play with his teammates for another year

Hard to jump on him for that

Respect his decision to the utmost. Whether anyone thinks he made a bad decision is dead wrong. Good for him to honkr a commitment when nobody else does. I have no problem with guys leaving early, the system is jacked. But became an even bigger fan of him now.
The rule should be guys can come out after high-school but i f they go to college can only leave after year 3. Helps the college game and is overall better for the leauge.

Great job Marcus Smart, whatever the reason was great job. If he stays all 4 years more power to him.
