Their website went down. A day later the bank issues a statement that all is well and no worries. I go to log on to my account this morning and it is all fricked up again. I think I may switch to a more local bank.

Not good to hear.

I'm a bit miffed at them for deciding to charge for mobile check depositing.

Your money is FDIC insured up to $250K. You'll be fine. But maybe Regions just sucks in general, I don't know.

You should switch all your assets to bitcoin.

I also had customer service problems with a branch manager while trying to get them to wire funds to a title company for the purchase of my new home recently too so this is just piling on for me.

I left Regions a few years ago because them not having that feature was the tipping point. I then saw they had it but charged for it. Ridiculous.

It's a test run for when they start confiscating everyone's deposits in their checking and savings accounts like the Cyprus banks did to the deposits in their banks about a month ago.

If you read the newest reviews for the app (iOS), you can tell there are a lot of pissed off customers.

It would be understandable if they were first with the feature and. capitalized on it for awhile, but they were years behind banks offering it for free.

mobile deposit is only 50 cents. Annoying but cheaper than driving to a branch for deposit.

It's the principle of it. As Teddy said, they are years behind banks that offer it for free. It's only 50 cents, so why piss your customers off with it?

But the daily limit is half of what my pay check is, so it's pretty worthless. I do like their "smart ATM" near my house where I can deposit checks and cash pretty easily though.

I've looked at moving banks but they all have their drawbacks: Cap One charges $25/month for a checking account (Regions is $12).

????? Where did you find that? I've seen that they have exceptions but generally there has to be some military connection (At least so I thought)

For example, I was never in the military but I got eligibility through my dad.

I think you are right, but I believe there are certain restrictions.

Regions Bank website down, domain not renewed
