Wife wanted a bottle of their house dressing so I ordered a salad to go and a bottle of dressing. Got there to pick it up and they didn't have my order in the computer. Showed the hostess the number that I called, "yep, that our number". Was told "its a salad so it won't take more than 10 minutes to make". 25 minutes later it comes out, without a bottle of dressing. They go in the back and come out with a styrofoam container full of dressing. I told her that's not what I wanted as it won't keep in the fridge as long as a glass bottle with an actual top on it and asked for my money back which I was obviously an a-hole for asking that or so it seemed. To top it off the shrimp and crawfish on my salad were too salty to eat.
Third time is a charm. Two trips before that were just as bad and I won't be returning.
Why is this location so bad? I've never had a bad experience at any of the other locations.

Restaurants don't sell dressing by the bottle.

Sammys does sell their dressing by the bottle. We go through one every couple months
ETA: Dick
and my wife was working in Central today and picked up a bottle at that location (that isn't completely fricked up)

I picked up Sammy's Prairieville today for lunch. Wife and I both got the prime rib poboy and Josey chose the Cajun Burger. I added the fried cheese as an appetizer and there were two orders of onion rings and one order of fries. All items were of great quality. I especially enjoyed the special sauce served with the onion rings. The only complaint I had is the there wasn't any good eye candy working the front when I went inside to pay.

I have had multiple bad experiences at that location as well. Won't go back.

And whoever's idea it was to put those iron chairs on the outdoor back patio should be executed.

Only been to that location once. No notable problems.

The big thing I noticed was how incredibly packed that place was and how long people were willing to wait.

They must be making a killing.

And I've never had anything but good experiences at all the other locations. Does someone else own or run the Pville location?

Sammy's is one of those huge south Louisiana restaurants that serve a lot of fried seafood. See Ralph and Kacoo's, Druscilla Seafood, Mike Anderson's, etc.. They attract huge following because they serve predictable food in a predictable way and don't screw up too much.

I went once, got warm raw oysters that weren't detached from the bottom shell. The fried entree were like all the fried entrees in town.

Sammy's will have it's run then will fade into the background when the next huge seafood place opens. I've seen this movie before.

It's the guy that ran the Central branch since it opened. Yes both are packed and just printing money....

He quit a month or so ago. Same owner and the current manager came from the Central location.

I've never eaten anything fried from there, well minus the Cheesesticks, so it isn't just straight fried food. Isn't 5 star dining either.

No.

Never had a problem at any location. I've always been impressed at the speed the kitchen can put out the food and not screw it up. Best onion rings in town. But it is what it is. A sandwich and fry house. I would never order raw oysters.

Sammy's has been around for 25 years. I think they'll get along fine.

Good idea. I thought I could get away with it, the height of the season, every other dozen I've had this year were excellent. Mason's brought me a dozen that were so good I got another.
