I'm trying to find some actual scary movies instead of going through 20 bootleg movies before I find one Tia.

There aren't really any good horror flicks on Netflix.

These are really the only ones:

Evil Dead
An American Werewolf in London
Let the Right One In
Scream
Tremors (maybe?)
The Omen

Netflix is not the place to watch horror movies.

Yea, I've heard that. The original is a great movie along with Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness.

Lol. The Evil Dead is not scary. At all. Campy or cult classic is a better description. Now I heard the new remake is pretty scary....

i don't know what kind of "scary" you're into, but i think "the prophecy" and "session 9" are pretty good.

Scream isn't really scary but by far the best horror movie on there.

I'm the opposite. Scary movies never scare me (except for a few cheap "jump outs"), but Insidious stuck with me. The concept of another realm being present, but just beyond our visible spectrum freaks me the frick out. Especially after reading anything fr33 ever posts late at night. Dude gets weird.

ETA: damn near shat my pants at this part

same here...i can't stand slasher type crap, it's more disgusting than scary, imo...if it's not psychological or supernatural, i really don't care.

I wasn't really posting movies that are scary, I just went to the horror section of Netflix and posted the decent movies that I've seen.

Netflix's horror section is terrible.

Audition. It's more creepy than scary.

Pet Semetary, but you have to watch it in the dark, in the woods, on a foggy night in a room made of windows, with a dog viciously barking in the distance.

Tremors

One of my all time favorite horror movies...wasn't really that scary but just entertaining. The Tremors series episodes were really good also

I think some of the Wrong Turn movies are on Netflix, those are pretty creepy.

I like these types of movies too. A good horror film has to have substance and a good plot.

I don't know if you've ever watched them, but the Supernatural TV series is really good. Entertaining with a nice combo of drama, comedy, and creepy. Very well done also with the research to accurately depict real rituals and folklore.
