There have been some major renovations going on the past few weeks at the restaurant building located at the curve on George Oneal Rd. The same location where Abe’s BBQ, The Hanger, Tasty Ribs & Things, etc. once were located.

Anyone know what will be opening there?

It doesn't matter what goes there. The location is shitty therefore it will eventually fail.

From what I heard, the name of the place is Kabob's.

Not too wise, considering there's a new Indian restaurant opening in the old Pizza Hut red roof right down the street, plus Curry -N- Kabob on Coursey and Bay Leaf and Himalayas on Sherwood...

I realize the location is poor, but I live nearby and would like a good go-to place in the neighborhood. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Also glad for the info on the old Pizza Hut...Bay Leaf is ok but something better nearby would be appreciated. BTW, that Pizza Hut was without a doubt the worst around...absolutely worthless staff.

Agreed! The Burger King on Jones Creek Road is pretty worthless as well...

Really sad, because back in the 90s that Pizza Hut was the best I've ever been to.

Then Lundy Enterprises took over and it all went to shite.

Depends. It is right next to one of the largest residential areas in the parish. A good takeout place could do well there as people drive back home after work.

Auburntiger, I worked there during the 90s as well. It was a great place to work. What is your brother's name? I probably know him.

If someone would just open a daiquiri shop/grill right there on the curve it would make a killing. SHENANDOAH DAIQUIRIS or WHITE OAK DAIQUIRIS or whatever. All the people on their way home from work would stop for a drink, plus it'd be a great local hangout at nights and on weekends.
