With all of the bitching and moaning, however, I think the chances are pretty good that the thread will become a minefield of spoilers.

1# you never read the books so you don't know what a spoiler is.

#2 you should have a 5-day ban for starting a thread about spoilers and admitting to posting fake spoilers.

Your thread will be fine,

This. There is so much bitching by those who haven't read the books and most of the time it is just speculation or theories that are posted.

Honestly, there are really only a handful of spoilers on par with the death of Ned, and no one would post those.

It is impossible to discuss this show without posting something that would be construed as a spoiler, even though it probably isn't.

I wonder if its okay to start a game of thrones thread to discuss the spoiler battles in the other 10 game of thrones threads.

Except it's not, though, because of the cute motherfrickers who've posted real spoilers in threads and people I see every day, slipping up or me just being within earshot of them at the wrong moment.

Of course the non-readers bitch more about spoilers. We're the ones for whom the plot is being spoiled. You can't spoil something for a person who already knows what is going to happen.

Prophet, please announce in the nonreader thread that the Middle Ground thread has been unanchored and if someone would like a simple question answered for basic clarification of what is currently going on, they may ask there instead of the nonreader thread. I don't dare go in there to make the announcement myself.

Fake spoiling is blatant trolling.

+1

And I actually haven't watched any of the season yet, but I'm going to go ahead and stay out of GoT threads anyway just to avoid all of this, fake spoilers or not

There was one spoiler that I caught in the thread last night, but I see it was whacked. It wasn't huge and a lot of people didn't catch it.
