Absence of NBC peacock logo on Golf Channel microphones at Masters

GC/NBC sports are one in the same, it glaringly stuck out when watching Steve Sands or Whit Watson reporting with a single 'G' logo on the mike. Just another Augusta 'rule' ?

Love the rule too, but hate the fact that masters.com no longer simulcasts the tv coverage which will start in about a half hour.

I'm sure CBS wouldn't mind if they put up NBCs logos since CBS has paid millions of dollars for the rights

Its not that... its the fact that GC is part of NBC now .. they are not separate entities. I hear CBS' point, but at the same time, GC is allowed to report .

Because CBS/augusta allows them to do so and I am sure it's part of it's contract to be allowed to report there .. "hey, you can report here but you can't advertise our main competition.
