Whatever Les Miles says about the issue, it’s going to come across as whining.

So I’ll say it for him: The SEC schedule during what the league has termed a “bridge” format to accommodate the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M has stacked the odds squarely against LSU.

Yes, you’re supposed to play the schedule you’re dealt. But if you’re looking at it from the LSU perspective, you can’t help but wonder if somebody’s doing some dealing from the bottom of the deck.

Oh yeah...

Oh shite...maybe my troll tweets and emails are paying off. I take 1/1000th credit for this article.

...maybe not. They still don't mention that UGA was taken off BOTH years of the pre-expansion schedule.

I dont think so. I never said the scheduling wasn't bullshite but me crying about it wont change anything. Low has a public forum and can make more people aware of this problem.

I agree but talking down to fellow LSU fans about it because they want to bitch isn't right imo.

I agree with ya

The one thing that disturbs me the most is the conflict of interests the SEC scheduling board has. If you want to promote fairness in scheduling, you can't put Bama alumnis in charge. Even if he is unbiased, you still have the appearance of being biased, which causes people to question decisions.

You have to be free of these independence issues. Hire someone completely independent of the SEC to make the schedules. Someone that doesn't have a dog in the fight, or appears to have a dog at least.

exactly, so while everyone talks about getting thru the brutal SEC, it needs to be pointed out some teams can get to the BCS CG without winning their conference while playing an 8 game conference schedule with 5 of 8 teams that were .500 or worse. But hey, the SEC won 5,6,7 straight so....

Last year there were 6 SEC teams in the top 12-15 the last week, wow, what a tough conference. Too bad the teams in the SEC CG only played 2 of the other 5.

SEC fans need to remember stuff like this when worrying that some team in another conference might make the BCS CG.

The people that want everyone to shut up about this HATE the fact that ESPN made a writeup about it bc it validates what many just want to sweep under the rug.

I would just rather our fanbase not look like whiny bitches. As terrible as the scheduling imbalance is, if we dont choke against alabama last year, we likely win the national championship.

very valid point

i just want the information to be known so that even if the schedule is unfair for a year or two that eventually once the format is in place it will be balanced
