Long day at work prompted me to stop at my local store and happened to come across this gem:

I'm too tired to do an official tasting tonight, but I'm definitely looking forward to this one after reading the review on Sour Mash Manifesto. I know several of you have started following Jason's reviews also and they're usually pretty spot on. Here's a link to his review:

Now on to a nice big glass of Elmer T Lee to finish off this day

Jefferson's 21 hit the shelves this week and I had a sample yesterday. Not Pappy, but damn good!

Nice. I bought my first bottle of 4 roses small batch and really enjoyed it.

I was at Cuban a couple weeks trying to buy 18 yr Jefferson reserve and they were out, but told me the 21 yr was coming. I think ~$120.

Looking forward to review.

Was at Calandro's last weekend and they had just gotten a shipment of the 21 yr.

believe it or not, I had some of this at the bar of a hilton garden inn in Franklin, TN a few weeks back...damn good whiskey, but a little strong for me...once I cut it with a little water, I liked the hell out of it...

Afro-might be gone by now. I bought one of what he said was his final 3 bottles last Saturday. Before the good Dr. told me I could have gotten it right around the corner. Haven't tasted yet, working down some open stock.

God damn I am envious. I can't find a bottle to save my life. The two times I've had it I've paid ~$20/drink and thought it was a bargain. It is by far my favorite bourbon.

I've been on the hunt for this or the Limited Edition Single Barrel for a while.... Haven't had any luck finding anything other than regular Single Barrel.

If any of you guys in BR stumble into this one, please let me know. I know it's released, my guy in California has it.

That Four Roses is a helluva whiskey. Oddly enough I tasted it in 2011 when LSU played Kentucky. A UK fan wandered over to our tailgate with several bottles of different premium whiskeys and offered us a taste of the whiskey in exchange for some of our "cajun food" and beer. Out of all of the ones he had, this one was by far my favorite.

It very well may be here. They hadn't received shipment and I asked the sales clerk what he thought they were going to sell it for and he said probably between 120-130. What it actually sold for, I have no clue.

I'll keep an eye out. I restocked all my mid-range bottles a couple weeks ago, so I've been trying to sit on my hands for a bit before I splurge on the high dollar bottles.
