So I downloaded Europa Universalis III

HELP!
this game is like civ on steroids. anyone use a specific resource to hit the game running?

Haha! Same things happened to me when I DLd it. I was hoping they had a strategy guide that I could order online somewhere, but couldn't find anything.

I tried playing around a little on my own, but couldn't even figure out how to do the simplest things like send troops over to assist an ally in war when they requested it

That game is a beast.

England managed to take over the entirety of Scotland, and couldn't figure out how truly take over the territory until you sued for peace. Tried another game, went broke after taking out Ireland, somehow raising my instability too high since I just flat our declared war on all the little guys.

There's a few wiki pages out there, but good luck understanding what they are talking about.

Once you hit the reputation limit, all of your neighbors will declare war on you. No instability hit! Of course, you will always be at war for the rest of the game...
