I'm letting my brother have my falcon coastal, so I'm gonna need a new rod to pair with my Calcutta 200. It will mainly be used inshore. What say the OB?

Anyone ever go the custom route? One of my clients makes custom rods and he said he could do a inshore setup for around $90. I'm not sure if I wanna go that route though.

I have one a vendor had made for me. It's easily my favorite rod. I'll take a pic and post. The quality is top-notch.

Powell rods are some of the best deals out there. For < $100 you can have a great 7' inshore rod.

Offshore rods....Calstar. Can't beat them.

Bought a Falcon Bu Coo micro from Academy because they had the wrong price on it. $69 ( Chad is a great teacher at screwing Academy over). Liked it so much I bought another. Caught several bass over 3 lbs and one over 5. Set the hook with ease and the thing is light as a feather and makes accurate casts. This is on a spinning rig though....

Chad how can I get a rod for cheaper at academy? There's got to be a way to screw them.
