If Ned could have thrown his honor out the window and just forgotten about Stanis I think it's good. Rule and teach Joffrey not to be a psycho. Or go with renly and take out cersei and the lannisters right when Robert dies.

Yeah I think tywin just wants the lannisters at the top. That's his goal. And like you said, he pretty much runs shite anyway.
