I actually was thinking about when they make those announcements on my way home from work earlier. I figured he was a shoe in for an invite.

Congrats to him, it's a big deal.

He has already had some success with the national team. He was USA Baseball's player of the year when he was on the 16U team.

Ya...lets not get carried away with Bryce Harper comparisons

But Bregman will go down as an all time LSU great...and maybe even greatest. Long way to go

What better recent comparison than young Harper who goes to college, lights it up way younger than he is supposed to.

Not saying he is as good as Bryce, but saying that he is looking like the best player college ball has seen in a few years.

Bryce Harper's ascent was amazing.

Harper was insanely good in college, was draft eligible at a young age, flew through the minors faster than anyone I can think of, and continues to bat well in the bigs.

Maybe he's the youngest player in the bigs in a generation?

All I can compare between the two is lighting college ball on fire. Obviously bregman will be a few years older by the time he's drafted.

You people throw out comparisons to walker and furniss, but I get scalded for this? Sure it's a homer statement.

But who else recently has come in and been this good this fast anywhere in college?

Do you understand what he did to become eligible?

Bregman is extremely good, but Harper is in another universe.

Bryce Harper graduated HS two years early so he could go to JUCO for what would have been his junior year of high school in order to enter the draft a year earlier than most people.

What he did is unprecedented.
