Avengers 2...Who should be the villian..........

Yea. I saw Thanos at the end of #1, but another
alien-Avengers battle so soon would be redundant.
A Thanos with infinity jems would be too much like Iron Man 3 and the Mandarin with his rings.
How about Kang the Conquerer or Ultron?

It'll be some guy I've never heard of. Loki wasn't a good villain in the crappy Thor movie so why was he the villain in the "epic" avengers movie?

It doesn't matter, it's going to be Thanos.
Ultron would be nice but would need setup. Maybe for phase 3.

I think a well established and well known marvel villain is needed even if he is from another franchise

I swear to god I almost posted that, but onslaught murdered them all

I don't mind Thanos but I'd love to see the Masters of Evil and then Ultron.

I'd say an Injustice League of sorts. Bring back a few of the villains in the past and have them come together to destroy the Avengers. Just continue to build up Thanos and make him a shadow in the background manipulating the Injustice Leage until the third one. Another alien invasion would just suck and be repetitive.

Exactly. Masters of Evil. I think you posted this before and got them stuck in my head as who I want to see.

The Mandarin with 100 times the power of his rings wouldn't come close to matching the power of the Gauntlet.

It's not about redundancy....
Fury said, the Avengers are strictly about fighting the fights that they are not equipped to fight.
So they would only call on them when in dire need, and mostly, this will be something world threatening.
Although Ultron is a great villain and would do well for 3, he hasn't had enough setup time yet.
It's Thanos, no matter what.

I don't understand why he couldn't be the villain in the third film.

They've already said they are laying out the Thanos story in Guardians, right before Avengers 2 comes out, and then proceeding with him going after Earth in the movie.
I would hope they don't stick with him through two films?

I wouldn't mind seeing them "lose" in the second film so we can see them overcome the odds in the 3rd.
Comics do a very good job of hammering the heroes for long stretches of time. Why can't the movies?
They don't have to win in every film as long as they win at the end of the arc.

Nolan hammered the hell out of Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Lost Rachel, Harvey Dent, all his money, Alfred, back broken, etc.

And the Dark Knight trilogy is considered the best adaptation of comic material yet.

I'm just saying keeping him in the shadows and manipulating what's going on in the second film, and making him the true villain of the final film.

yeah, I've always thought of the dark knight as the joker winning
either everyone knows harvey is a murdering psycho or batman and gordon have to betray their ideals and cover it up
