That Raptor is bolted together just like all the less expensive ztr mowers. Aside from the welded deck, there is no difference. Probably why it has the same price point as Toro, and Husqav. Even Hustler realizes they need to buld a cheap model to attract business.

I've cut with scag, gravely, and exmark. Exmark is the best. Best cut, best ride, and held up better than any others. Spend the extra money to go commercial level. It'll pay off in the end.

I repeat a reputable dealer that will service your mower. Also recommend welded deck as the deck was what gave out on my last three(3) green and yellow mowers.

What's the price difference between welded and bolted? Seems like you could just go the bolted route and weld it as soon as you got it home

Welded deck is pieces of heavy gauge metal welded together and a stamped deck is basically a sheet of lighter gauge metal just stamped into the desired deck shape

I am in the process of buying 3.5 acers and was looking at the Kubota zg124 or 127. How are those and is there something else you recommend for that price point?

ExMark is a good machine. The biggest thing is buying from a dealer with good service. If you do any name brand mower will do

I own a Exmark Lazer, have had it for 4 years without a single issue. 48" cut 22 HP engine. I cut an acre and a half if it makes a difference.

This is the key. Manufacturing in USA is good. Most products are as good as others with a few exceptions. But something will break and you will need parts or service.

Been a great unt so far. Most of the components are proven and have been on other machines for years (Hydro, Kaw engine) Less thn an acre it's a great buy and u will get many years of service!

I bought a used SnapperPro Zero Turn two years ago for my yard, about 1 1/2 acres. It was about the same price as a new zero turn from Lowes/Home Depot, but it's a much better mower.

Do yourself a favor and buy at least a low end commercial instead of consumer grade.

Nothing about the BadBoy Z at $4500 is commercial. Same Hydros as Hustler Fastrak, less engine, BadBoy uses smaller spindle bearings and the deck is less reinforced. Hustler offers a 4 yr warranty (parts & labor) Badboy offed just 2 yrs. if they made the baddest mofo on grass, they should back it up with a real warranty!

At $4,499 the BadBoy comes with a Kawasaki FR, same engine that comes on the Huster Raptor which sales for $2799? And the Kohler Courage Pro is FAR from commercial, worst Kohler engine made. TBH, the best engine the offer in that $4500 unit is the Briggs ELS!
