Does anyone know what the record is for consecutive game hitting streak at LSU?

I tried to find it in the media guide but didn't see it.

LSU Hitting streak record

In 2003, LSU had at least one hit in every game of the season.

Wasn't he the Tennessee QB that ESPN did a 30-30 (or something similar) about?

Looking at the stats on the LSU website, this is the longest hitting streak for any LSU player since 2000. Cresse had a 24 game streak that year and Cedrick Harris had a 21 game streak.

As far as a freshman, going back to 1997 (as far back as the website goes) the longest I could find was Dean having a 20 game streak in 2007.

LSU lucky to have Bregman, he should be in minor league ball right now
The thing about streak that is really helping him is you can't pitch around him with Rhymes, Katz and now Jacoby behind him.

David Magadan, Alabama 1981

That year he had was amazing. He hit like .523 or something close to that.

Magadan was a freshman when he got the hitting streak above in 1981. His junior season in 1983 was the year he hit .525
