He's not the talent evaluator though, he is signing who he's asked to. He is the numbers guy.

Not really sure why this is difficult for some to understand.

Even more difficult why people accept it. And even more difficult to understand how people like chad & o rly defend it.

Think about what you are defending. It's laughable

I laugh every year that people act like a GM has to be some master accountant to add up 65 players salary and make them < or = the salary cap.

Loomis is a bad GM. He brings nothing to the table in regards to talent evaluation. Unless he is doing everyone's taxes, I'm not seeing the value.

The value for Payton is because he doesn't evaluate talent, period. Payton will never have to coach one player he doesn't want to or have a disagreeing opinion.

Great for offense. Bad bad bad for defense.

lulz, if we're adding 10-15 pounds to his listed playing weights, then we need to do the same to every other defensive lineman in the NFL as well.

eta: lester's getting mad now.

I said he just happened to get out of shape enough right when we were switching to a 3-4. I said that was forward thinking and maybe he should be the GM. I thought you would have liked that.

Okay, if we're adding 8 lbs to Will Smith, its fair to add 8 lbs to any other fat guy in the NFL cause obviously their listed weight must not be current.

Well at least you admit talking out of your arse.

So you hear Payton can't call a damn defense to save his life? We need to fire his arse huh?

You see, you arguing like a girl now cause you have no response. I never said they are all exactly what they are listed as. But to sit here and think that Will Smith is the only or one of the few players in the NFL to be heavier than his listed weight is equally moronic. My original statement about Will Smith is i think he's about what he's listed as. I don't think he's in the mid 290's... maybe just maybe close to 290 SOMETIMES but we all get the July fluff piece about how great of shape he's getting in and this and that horse crap. I think most defensive lineman are probably a few lb's heavier than listed weights.
