Anniversary Dinner in NOLA
Posted by waampwamp on 4/8/13 at 9:57 pm00
We're headed to New Orleans this weekend to celebrate our anniversary... planning on checking out the FQF festivities during the day on Saturday, but looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner Friday evening in the quarter.
Any suggestions??? TIA!

Yeah, you should have looked up reservations a month ago.
Seriously, if you are real foodie types, try for Restaurant August or Stella.
If not, try for Bayonna, Pelican Club, Muriels, Criolla, NOLA, or Le Foret.

Yeah, I realize I'm a little behind on reservations. We made a last minute decision to go there to celebrate. Now it's time for me to scramble...
Good suggestions though, I'll check them out - thanks!

get out of the FQ on Friday night and go to Herbsaint, Bistro Daisy, Coquette, Lilette, or La Petite Grocery. not only are they all great restaurants, but they're more likely to have availability on Friday night.

Sylvain, Sobou, K-Paul's, Irene's, to name a few. These are more casual then August and Stella, these are all good but may be easier to get into. Try August first if you want first class. IMHO
Or, Revolution. almost forgot.

OpenTable still has a good amount of places with reservations open on Friday night if you visit their website and take a look.
Coquette has open availability and it's a really quaint/romantic place.

or take your car out to Maurepas foods...you won't regret it (and they don't take reservations). Other non-reservations places: Galitore's, Jacquesimos.
