This is from a thread posted on the SEC Rant this past weekend.

quote:

Comparison to Baum Stadium:

Honestly, I think Alex Box and Baum are two different animals. The Box felt to me more like a job than something someone would do for fun. Although I had a great time, it seemed like the LSU fans were showing up for "work" to cheer for LSU. At Baum it feels more like people just come to chill and watch some baseball. Folks will sit and BS for innings at a time in Baum while keeping one eye on the game waiting for the action. I tried to ask folks about the area but most didn't seem interested in talking about anything except the game until after the 7th inning stretch.

I like that he felt that LSU fans were very interested in the game.

Good post, he wasn't flaming.

I read that thread. he wasn't flaming but for some reason he posted that as a negative, like he thinks baum is better because they aren't as into the game

different strokes I guess

If he wants to socialize, he should go to LSU basketball games.

Sorry SOS.

I cringed when I saw that you had responded. I didn't even need to see your post.

I chuckled reading his post thinking that if he was discussing basketball crowds, I'm sure the Arkansas crowd would be all into the game while the LSU crowd is just socializing.

You could do that at any SEC school except for Kentucky

He automatically didn't like the Box. Honestly, I don't give a shite what idiots from other school think. I hope when they come in they are uncomfortable and don't ever want to come back. I have the same feeling about DV. This is my stadium and I don't want you here.

I don't think these comments will ever cease, even LSU is a regular tournament team.

....Maybe, but not the first. I was boiling crawfish at Arkansas baseball games 6 years ago. Usually I'll cook them in the parking lit across the street. Few years back we did it in the pavilion closer to the football stadium. Moved away 2 years ago so I have not been back for a game. Good times though.

I have to agree somewhat with the OP. if you are in the Hog Pen its about being social. Sit behind the plate or up to the bases on the side and they get into the game.

Well...those knowledgeable LSU baseball fans have to pay attention....otherwise they wouldn't know when to applaud a great play by the other team!

i'm not a big college hoops fan at all but if they make the tournament I will watch and cheer them on, it's my school. same with baseball I'm not a baseball fan in any sense but I do watch and root for lsu when the sec tourney and beyond comes around. if that's a bandwagon fan than I am guilty

let's not try to compare this to your bandwagon heat fandom. you have no connection to that team.
