1st Crawfish Boil of 2013
Posted by Cajunate on 4/7/13 at 9:49 pm00
[center]This morning I picked up a sack of crawfish from Captain Sid's in Bucktown and while I was cutting grass I cleaned the bugs off by rinsing with fresh water.
I had some video but was unable to upload it.
This was 37 lbs of mudbugs just dying to make for a delkicious meal
The necessary seasonings and sices for making them taste great. I threw in some of those oranges I still have on my trees too.
Right after dumping them in that boiling spicy water.
Done and draining!
Time to eat this boat load of delicious bugs!
After chomping down on some corn on the cob my Granddaughter decided she was ready for some crawfish. Don't worry this one was rinsed clean of spiciness.

Only problem is the beer selection. Other than that, you're GTG.

this looks great. can you give more detail in your OP as to your process for spicing the water, how long you boil, etc..?

copied from another thread:
I will assume you are using a one sack pot or enough water to cover just one sack. Add five to 7 lbs of LOUISIANA brand powder. Bring to boil. Add garlic, onions, celery, lemons and potatoes. Boil for 15 minutes. Add crawfish. Bring to boil for appx 1 minute. turn off the heat.
Add 1 cup of ZATARAINS liquid boil and frozen corn. Stir up well. Let them soak until they are submerged in the water. Prepare for blowjobs and for people to tell you they are the best crawfish they've ever had.
