It's not Edward. Moore has the experience but still isn't doing great. I say let Foster or even Yocom try and at least give yourself some speed out there.

I like to see Chinea get a few more chances against leftys, and a Moore foster combo against rightys until one of them take the job

Anyone ho says Yocum should get a shot at DH certainly hasn't paid enough attention to LSU baseball

Chinea/Foster vs. LHP
Moore vs. RHP

Gotta be Moore. He is hitting over 300, but more importantly always has quality at bats. Doesn't swing at the first pitch, makes the pitchers work for an out.

Unfortunately PM hates him so I'd be shocked if he stays around.

Chinea has a lot of potential, I just think he needs more oppertunites and experience to show that he can be our DH. Chinea has a lot of power, I truly believe he could be a tremendous asset offensively for us!

Dude beats up on Alcorn St. pitching and all of the sudden he was the savior of LSU baseball. Thank God JaCoby did something this week, else Yocom-mania would've been growing.

Tyler Mooooooore

But I'm biased since I used to know him and still talk to his dad sometimes. Although I still think he should start against RHP even if I wasn't.

IDK but they need to get some extra AB's in while we are killing it

If LSU is going to hit .386 every weekend, I DGAF.

But I really liked the promise of Tyler Moore last year. I say him.

Moore is batting .289 with 45 AB. Foster is at .333 with only 18. I'd be fine splitting these two. Chinea is down to .212 with 33 AB. I'd say he has been given a fair chance an isn't ready yet.

It scares me to think about post season games when you get to pinch hit/run situations because we don't have anyone who can step up in that role.

In terms of a capable pinch hitter, I would be ok with Moore, Sciambra, Edward, Foster, Yocom, Stevenson.

Sure, they haven't been consistent enough to earn a spot, but they are capable to come through in a pinch hit situation.

I wouldn't be worried about that. We have plenty of speed on the bench, and no team has a .350 hitter coming off the bench, because if they did he wouldn't be coming off the bench. We have guys that a more than capable, and we have both lefties and righties depending on the matchup. I like the way this team is put together. I do agree that we need to find a DH and stick with him. While the bats are hot, someone needs to get into a groove and get some ABs.

Having a guy near .300 is a start. Behind Moore and Foster there isn't one unless you count Yocom who is at .400 but apparently that doesn't count. I can really see him using Edward as the pinch hit guy down the road and that is just frightening.
