Yeah, but we always knew it wouldn't be Ragnar -- not if History wants to maintain some sense of a docudrama.

This show kicks arse. They killed off the only recognizable name on the show already on a history channel series

Doesn't get any better than that

Heavy foreshadowing with the snake pit. According to myth, that is how Ragnar died -- but it was much later in his life than the current period. Then, his sons burned England to the ground the following summer, but Ragnar is missing about three sons at this point.

But we might get to see the blood eagle next season. You know, when they pull the victims lungs outside his body while he is still alive? Did I mention they sprinkled salt into the chest cavity?

Norse history is fascinating, and considering most of what we know is recorded in saga form, it makes for a fun subject to study. As Dan Carlin puts it, "You envision these tribal warriors as kind of like a medieval biker gang: sexually promiscuous, tattoos, strange hairstyles, and a love of all things leather and steel.

Wonder if the shows popularity will make it socially possible to say things like Bring on the Rape!

I would wear that t shirt

Does Rollo marry Siggy? Does he challenge Ragnar? Is Siggy's daughter knocked-up with that old guy's baby? Hhhmmm...

Ragnar should marry the Earl's wife to consolidate his claim...or at least the daughter.
