Yea it is. I need to give the first episode a shot sometime. I've only seen 5 minutes at the end of one episode and I wasn't really paying attention.

Start it from the beginning. Trust me.

And yes...it takes time for things to develop. It's not cut and dry good guy vs bad guy.

But when things start happening, you'll find yourself much more engrossed into the show than you thought you would be.

Well there you go, you should really get into it then.

I guess I hear the common gripe about it being slow moving and it's sometimes kinda funny to me. The books have so much character development and show took quite a bit of liberty to "speed things up" and it still gets complaints of it moving too slow.

If the first two episodes of season 1 don't hook you in, I just don't understand. I watched the first two seasons and then each book twice in preperation for the screen portrayal of the rest.

It's a solid storyline if you watch from the beginning. The first episode of this season was slow but was setting up a bunch of shite.

I love GOT but they really do need more than 10 episodes per season, just glad SOS is separated into two seasons.

Go watch the first season back to back then come post, I bet you change your mind

This is definitely a show you have to watch from the beginning. Get back to us when you watch the premiere.

They could do more than a 10 episode season, but season 1 and 2 were on with book 1 and 2. Think about that. He did 1 book in a 1 hour, 10 episode season. So 1 book is 10 hours. Harry Potter would do 2 and a half hours for a book, except the last 1that they split in 2. And since they are splitting up book 3 in 2 seasons, they will have 20, 1 hour episodes on just 1 book. 20 hours on just 1 book. That's crazy. And I'm assuming you read the books like I did? I want them to take their time too and really develop the characters and fit in as much as they can, but that would be way too slow for the non book reader fans and would lose a lot of viewers.
