If they had to do it over again would the Big 12 take Louisville over West Virginia/TCU?

Louisville-
football- Big East & Sugar Bowl champs #13
mens basketball- playing in the title game
womens basketball- final four
baseball- #9 in baseball america poll higher than any Big 12 team

With this sucess where do you see the Cardinals athletic dept in 5 years?

I don't think so...UL is having a great run but we'll see how this turns out in the long run. what they should have done is invite UL along with another program and gotten that conference back to 12 teams.

Just boil it down to football. Nothing else matters when it comes to expansion/realignment.

IDGAF. Bitterness was the name of the game in that conference.

I preferred Louisville over TCU. Texas already has plenty of representation as it is.

I was hoping for Louisville and Cincy

Don't mind TCU, but not a massive fan of WVU

It is shocking what a mediocre baseball league the Big 12 is this year. I mean, it was always overrated but it is crap this year. Kudos to WVU for having some decent bats from what I've heard.

I notice you are defining everything by trophies.

As if that's the only consideration in geographic conference expansions.

Fandom always seems blinded by fandom - universities operate as businesses. True winning helps the bottom line but it's not the be all and end all - see Big 10 - conferences don't expand for bragging rights bro.

Louisville looks really good now, but it wasn't that long ago (about 10 years) that Louisville was on the same level as Memphis.

kinda. ACC is turning out to be a winner in all of this.

dropping poverty maryland for louisville was the best trade this decade.

not really, it still puts out a crappy football product that no one really watches

adding Pitt and Cuse really don't help when it comes to football

Louisville wouldn't have made the sugar bowl in the big 12.
