I'm not saying it's a fact, I'm just throwing it out there. I honestly don't know. Most of the ideas I put out there are ideas I'm sorting through in my head at that moment. I like the idea of him as a bastard because it adds a new level of intrigue to it all, but it doesn't really feel right to me. It's probably something like a recessive gene, some have it, some don't. Still, I want Dany's statement that he wasn't a TRUE Targaryen to mean something.
Of course, it could be a whole lot simpler. Immunity to fire may not translate to immunity to the heat from molten metals. Of course, that brings up a debate about what immunity to fire actually MEANS. That's why I was curious about wildfire, which seems a lot like napalm. Similar, but not quite the same.

I guess I had never considered it because he had the same hair as dany. BUT now that I think about it, maybe he was a Lannister bastard! He sure had their shitty attitude!

I come to read these threads after watching the DVRed show Monday night. I have a whole lot more fun reading the "in game" portion of it than the actual discussion. Sad that's the case, but this thread sucks.

this is something i struggled with in S1. I think immunity to fire is different from immunity to molten metal. imagine dany getting that shite dumped on her

I feel like the show has done a GREAT job of hiding everyone at Kings Landings true intentions. Cersie/Littlefinger/Tywin/Tyrion/Varys do we have any idea what they are really up to???
Cersei wants her son to remain king so she can influence him and have power. Littlefinger wants to be a lord, and probably wants to punish Kat for rejecting him. Tywin wants to be and is the de facto king. Tyrion just made his intentions known, but really just likes playing the game. he knows he'll never have any real power beyond his family.
Now, Varys I have no idea. Personally, I think he's an "agent provocateur" for another faction, maybe one we haven't seen yet. Then again, as a man with no weenie, maybe he just wants to burn it all down.
BTW, I've now seen this episode about 8 time, so I'm a S3E2 expert. You can ask me anything.

IMO, I think she would be fine. I really think it was her brother who just didnt have the blood of the dragon. Like someone else said I think it's just a random trait that some get and some don't. Some want to rule, some are born to rule. He was also a whiny bitch so there's that.
