Haha no actually I would ideally like a combination of the two. I like Jarvis more than Mingo, wouldn't mind either, but am just pointing out some legit concerns since many see him as an automatic grand slam pick

yup, no perfect picks though. #15 is gonna get about a $10million deal. Anybody I'm giving that much to is gonna be analyzed to the max. I point that out as well cuz there could be a Jones or Mingo on the board and the Saints pass and go with someone else.

I personally prefer Mingo myself. Not because he's just from LSU but I think he has one of the highest ceilings of potential. Guy was still incredibly raw coming out to the draft. Everyone got a glimpse of how dominant he can be in that Clemson game. He was literally unblockable. Sucks we lost him for the second half of that game. How many sacks did he have in the first half? 4?

People seem to forget he was battling an injury all season and that's why he was more disappointing this past year. When his foot was finally 100% for Clemson they should've just replaced dummies there because that's what he made the lineman look like...

I don't think we will have the luxury of choosing Mingo or Jones. If we get one, it will be the one everyone passed on.

If I had to guess there will be one available, the question is do we want him, or do we trade back in an effort to get a second round pick. I think that is the BIG question the Saints are facing right now. If the Saints believe the OLB that is available is a 10+ sack a year play-maker then they make the pick without question, if for whatever reason they doubt it then I think they will hope the Vikings make the call.

What I'm really looking forward to (beyond the 1st round) is what small school players we take. I scratch my head at some of these picks every year like "Who?" but then I read up on them and I wanna kiss the scouting department.

I have a bad feeling if Jones is there the saints pass on him. Saints talk explodes and the Armageddon starts...

If we get Jones we'll have a sick pass rush rotation.

Some coaches think they're God's gift and will draft a weightroom warrior solely on workout results, thinking they will be the one coach who can motivate a guy. Me, I'll take the underachiever in the weightroom who only goes out on the field and makes 12 tackles/3 sacks a game, so , I'll take Jarvis Jones.

He doesn't seem to put in any effort in strength and conditioning. I worry that he may hit a brick wall at some point in the NFL with lack of a work ethic.

So many guys are like this and then change once they get in the NFL/start getting paid the big bucks.

He's got a big motor. Plays hard to the whistle--competitor. I think he'll do whatever he has to to continue dominating when it's game time.

I don't think he's falling because of the injury concerns...He's played well for a while now and has been cleared.

I think Jones is falling because of poor workouts and the physical freaks at the position in this draft. All the player evaluators love potential, but it's not always the right way to go.

That's why he could fall, imo, but ultimately, I don't think he will. All four of the OLBs could be gone.
