I agree that he's more "ideal" for the two hole with his walk rate and bc of the lefty-righty split, but I think he would get more RBI opps in the 5 hole and I think Simmons is better used for sac bunt potential in the 2 hole.

With the amount of HR hitter in our lineup Fredi should be punched in the face for sac bunting anyone but the pitcher. Sac bunts are a bad idea anytime generally, but particularly with this lineup.

The bigger problem is that J Hey is not seeing many pitches to hit. Entering the day only 32% of the pitches he'd seen had been strikes. That's fifth fewest among big leaguers. Giancarlo with the fewest at 28%.

Wonder why they aren't throwing to him? Doesn't make sense considering you then have to face Upton, Freeman, Upton, Uggla.

Makes sense when he's swinging at everything low and outside and nowhere near the plate constantly.

He's reminding me of his struggles during his second season (at least during his noninjured parts of that season) at the moment, swinging at way too much crap outside of the zone.

That's the thing, he's not swinging that often. Only 12 players have a lower swing %.
