Mason is one of the most aggressive and successful base runners we have had in a few years. For a guy with average speed, he always looks to take the extra base and makes the right decision on the bases 9 out of 10 times.

This, and its universally known, except for OP, that he is one of the best base-runners on LSU. He has been overshadowed by a few, this year, but last year he got alot of praise for his aggressive base running, and how successful he was for his speed...

you get the point. ok he doesnt have baserunning mistakes 5 out of 10 because then he would be the worst baserunner ever. on 50/50 calls he makes the wrong call way more than he should.

Bad base runner? No.
Too aggressive? Probably.

fair enough if that is your opinion. he is aggressive on the bases and plays the game the right way, hard to hate on him for that.

He makes mistakes from time to time, but I don't think he is any worse than any other base runner we have on this team. I think you are being a little nit picky. Yea he got thrown out on the double when it was 9-0, but he also stretched a double to a triple in a key moment last night.

"I wish I could cut him in half or clone him because he's our best right fielder and our best first baseman," LSU Coach Paul Mainieri said. "He has become an excellent defensive player. He's the most underrated baserunner we have, and he's a much better athlete than you would think he is. He's become a tremendous leader like Mikie was."

Sounds like Maneri trusts him..

Paul Maineri: 258–122–2 (.679) as a coach.

bbap: 71066-0 as a shitty poster.
